Consider your brushes as a tool. Proper Care will extend the life of your brush. Acrylic Paints are water soluble so clean your brush the minute you finish with a color. Clean-up is easy.
Some ceramic paints require special solvents for cleaning your brush. Always read the label before using so you know what to use to clean your brushes.
During cleaning do not press the bristles down into the container. This can cause the bristles to break and fray. Swish back and forth in your container.
Once brushes are clean and still damp, reshape the bristle back into their former position. This will help retain their shape. Store them standing on end with the bristle up.
